“Please save this planet!” Messages from children in Cwmbran and Abergavenny

5 August, 2021

Using the postcard resources available on the Climate Cymru website, teachers of Year 5 classes at Pontnewydd School and Deri View Primary School have been leading lessons themed around ‘The Wales we want to see’. Pupils are asked to design a postcard addressed to Welsh leaders telling them what they want their country to look like as they grow up.

Here are some of the messages the pupils wrote:

“I think we should stop destroying forests and animals’ homes” – David

“Stop climate change! Clean the carbon dioxide out so we live in peace!” – Charlie

“Let us ALL remake our planet into a paradise again by not cutting trees and etc. Thank you for reading this and we hope you will save our planet.” – Lukas

Take a look at some of the postcards below.
