Snowdonia Society

The Snowdonia Society is Snowdonia's conservation charity, working hard since 1967 to protect and enhance the beauty and special qualities of Snowdonia and to promote their enjoyment in the interests of all who live in, work in or visit the area both now and in the future.

“Snowdonia has precious wildlife species and habitats at risk from climate change in parallel with risks to traditional livelihoods and ways of managing land. But the National Park can also lead the way in landscape scale action: for example Snowdonia's peatlands have a huge part to play in protecting and restoring biodiversity and storing carbon far into the future.”
