The SAFE Foundation

We are a small welsh charity with big hopes, our aim is to give everyone equal opportunities in the world regarding education, health and well being. We were started by the dream of twin sisters and live on with a close knit team. We have a number of international partners where we provide clean water, pay teachers to educate the children in those communities and provide resources to allow the communities to flourish, such as the community centre we build in India.

Our UK projects provide skills development in a number of ways through our volunteering opportunities or our global citizenship workshops. Those who volunteer with can be as involved as they wish; helping out in the office to coming with us to large events or festivals. The workshops offer a wide range of skill development which may lead to employment. They also provide training and understand of the ethics behind the trade, for example, we offer free conscious coffee training where you learn barista skills and where coffee comes from, how its ethically sources and sold, to then have opportunities to be a barista with us at various events.

As well as running our two charity shops in Cardiff, we also attend or host many events throughout the year. At every event we are able to sell coffee through volunteers, we've trained ourselves. Our charity goal is to provide everyone with equal opportunities in life and we strive to build communities and learn from our partnerships both in the UK and worldwide.
