The Environment Centre
The Environment Centre is a Swansea based charity that provides people and communities with the resources to learn, gain skills, participate and work together in a way that helps us all take positive environmental and sustainable action.
“While no one is immune to the impact of Climate Change, we’ve learnt that the impact is felt in different ways by different communities. Local groups can inspire significant change that will have a lasting impact and we know that small actions can create big change. With this in mind, we call on our Governments to continue their over-arching policy work, based on sound science but also to:
– Engage with local groups and different communities, finding out what their concerns are and establishing the threat of Climate Change to the people that belong to them
– Recognise the successes in local groups and communities in their response to the Climate Emergency, and learn from these
– Support our communities by providing tools, education and expertise they need
– Legislate in a way that no community in Wales is impacted more severely than others by the Climate Emergency”
