Fuel Poverty Action

FPA is a group of ordinary people who are fed up with being robbed by greedy energy companies through spiralling bills, and landlords who rent out damp, badly insulated homes with unaffordable heating systems. We challenge profiteering energy companies and unfair policies that leave people suffering in
cold and damp homes.

Alongside trades unions, pensioners groups, disabled campaigners, tenants’ organisations and others on the frontline of fuel poverty, we use protest and direct action to fight for warm, well-insulated homes and clean and affordable energy, under the control of people and communities, not private companies.

We know there is plenty of money, and plenty of electric power too. They are just being wasted or monopolised by the wealthy and by corporate interests.

FPA is led by our members, a diverse and growing group of people of all ages and backgrounds. We also have many supporters who promote our campaigns and keep in touch via our mailing list, and a small, decentralised staff team.
