About
Imagine Action is Climate Cymru’s flagship narrative change and communications project, designed to help communities work together to change the conversation on climate action in Wales. It is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.
Imagine Action recognises that climate and social justice communicators are operating in an increasingly divided and toxic communications landscape. Many are connecting with their communities at the grassroots with little training, funding or resources. Our approach centres on using the power of values as tools for depolarisation, starting from a point of connection rather than conflict or debate.
Imagine Action Toolkit Training
Imagine Action helps individuals, communities and organisations across Wales communicate in ways that reflect what truly matters; craft compelling stories that unite us and reimagine a future we can create together. Whether you’re a campaigner, artist, faith leader, educator, or simply an active member of your community, this engagement platform encourages us to speak from what we value, listen with care, and help shape a future for Wales that includes everyone.
To learn more about the Imagine Action approach you can join or organise a toolkit training session. The Imagine Action toolkit training can be completed online, as a 1-hour seminar, or a half-day workshop.

Across our nation, people are already busy creating the future we all deserve. From food co-ops and community hubs, to local energy projects and rewilding initiatives – we are already planting the seeds of a fairer, kinder future for our children and grandchildren.
Working with Climate Cymru partners, the Local Storytelling Exchange and Round Our Way we are championing the everyday heroes in the press, our newsletter, and across our digital channels. We demonstrate how climate solutions are already happening and build a sense that real climate action is rooted in care, fairness, and community.
Climate Cymru Creatives
Imagine Action recognises the importance of creativity, curiosity and play. In Wales, culture and heritage are at the heart of who we are as a people. Poetry, music, dance and art have been used throughout history to amplify our community voices and tell stories about our connection with the land and nature. If you are an artist working with climate or social justice topics we want to hear from you! You can join our growing network of creatives from across Wales to work collectively and share opportunities.

Across Wales, there is a long tradition of caring for one another and shaping the future collectively. To celebrate this tradition, we partnered with Fête of Britain to host two cultural gatherings of art, music and conversation, bringing people together to imagine and create a better way to live.
