Oystermouth Primary School
Set in the heart of Mumbles and overlooked by the historic Oystermouth Castle. The school serves an area which still retains a ‘village atmosphere’. Even today, many of the pupils’ surnames are the same as those which appear in the registers of 100 years ago! Our school will seek to provide an imaginative, broad and balanced interpretation of the curriculum in inspiring, caring and secure classroom and wider school environments.
The school is a happy place which attaches great emphasis on the nurturing of a child’s abilities, be they academic, musical, artistic or sporting. We emphasise the acquisition of skills which will enable pupils to become ‘lifelong learners’.
“Tackling climate change is so important for the lives of our pupils at Oystermouth. They are the future and the effects will be so pertinent to them and their families. Our aim at Oystermouth is to support our pupils to be ethically informed citizens who have the knowledge and skills so they can make responsible decisions as they grow up and leave us for the next step of their journey.”
