The climate and nature emergency affects us all, and we all deserve a voice in what happens next. Our partners are drawn from across Welsh civil society and beyond and, together, we’re a diverse and powerful voice for modern Wales.
The strength of our campaign is drawn from our diversity - the people and causes we represent. If you’re an organisation based in Wales, and you think we’re missing an important perspective, then get in touch and become part of the movement.
“Being part of a network that gets stuff done across Wales is what Climate Cymru is about to us. Together, we're louder and stronger. ”
Daniel, Campaigner, Coal Action Network
Who Can Join
The Climate Cymru network is open to any organisation that wants to be part of a diverse movement, putting climate, nature and social justice on the political agenda in Wales. Climate Cymru is completely free to join, and that’s intentional, because we believe the climate movement in Wales is stronger when organisations can be part of it, regardless of their budget. Whether you’re a grassroots community group, business, school, charity or NGO, you’re welcome.
We have almost 400 partners within the network (take a look at this map to find partners near you) and we understand the pressure you’re under, so there’s no expectation or requirement to attend meetings or take part in everything. You can pick and choose your level of involvement, dip in when it’s useful, stay informed in the background, or get stuck in when time and capacity allow. We’re here to support you, not add to your workload.
When you add your name to Climate Cymru, you are agreeing to a simple statement:
“We recognise that the climate and nature emergency requires urgent, fair, action. We believe that action should be guided by science and the voices of people across Wales.”
Reflect our values of inclusivity, trust, integrity and diversityBy joining, you’re adding your voice to a diverse, Wales-wide network calling for urgent, fair and just action on climate, and you’ll also gain tangible benefits to help amplify and strengthen your own work.
You can sign up to become a partner here, or contact Clare 07500 001973 or clare@climate.cymru for a chat. In the meantime, here are some of the benefits of joining the movement:
Showcase your commitment to climate action
Your organisation will be added to the Climate Cymru partner directory and map, showcasing your commitment to climate action to funders, partners, and the public.
You can use the Climate Cymru logo on your website, emails, and materials, signalling credibility and connection to a national movement, demonstrating collaborative impact.
Connect with organisations across sectors, including community, education, business, arts and youth groups, to share learning, coordinate work, and spark collaborations.
Communications & amplification
Get your work amplified through Climate Cymru’s website, newsletters, and active social media presence.
Share your campaigns, events, job ads, and success stories across the wider network through our monthly e-bulletin, The Mycelium.
Access to resources
Stay in the loop with funding opportunities, policy updates, and practical tools through the partner network.
Use shared resources like campaign toolkits and guides to boost your own action and outreach.
Co‑production opportunities
Be the first to hear about it and get involved in Advisory Group and working groups, co-create events and campaigns, and work alongside the Climate Cymru team to shape Wales’ climate future.
Help steer movement priorities, particularly around youth leadership, underrepresented voices, and climate justice, by applying to get involved in our Youth Climate Ambassadors for Wales or as a volunteer.
By joining Climate Cymru you’ll become part of a diverse, powerful, and practical network, which is working to centre youth voices, and other underrepresented communities, powered by volunteers and grassroots expertise, while unlocking profile-raising, collaboration, advocacy, and resource-sharing benefits.
By making an optional contribution to our core running costs, you will enable us to significantly increase our capacity and leverage the success we have already achieved together.
Contributions can be paid on an annual basis in September. If you join the network midway through the financial year, you will be charged a pro-rata membership fee for the remaining months.
This suggested annual contribution is based on organisational turnover and helps maintain a level playing field:
£20,000 – £100,000: £80
£100,000 – £250,000: £200
£250,000 – £1 million: £400
£1-2 million: £600
£2-6 million: £900
6+ million: £1,500
We recognise that not all organisations are in a situation that will allow them to contribute financially. We believe that it is critical to keep the Climate Cymru network diverse and inclusive, so we are committed to ensuring Climate Cymru is free to join.
For those with the capacity to contribute more, we urge you to consider covering the cost of those who are unable to pay a membership fee. By doing so, you will help ensure that the environmental, climate and social justice movement in Wales is not dominated by the few, but strengthened through broad and diverse engagement.
“The Climate and Nature Emergencies are impacting us in Wales and across the world right now. We all need to take action, and work together to make sure that we move away from climate-wrecking emissions urgently and in a fair and just way. That’s why we’re proud to be part of the Climate Cymru network, and work with organisations, community groups and partners from across Wales to campaign and collaborate for a better, greener and fairer future for all. ”
