WWF Cymru

Nature is vital. It provides our life-support system. But it’s under threat like never before.

So at WWF, they're fighting to restore thriving habitats and species.

“Climate change is the greatest environmental challenge the world has ever faced, but we have the solutions and we know nature can fight back. We need people all over the world to take action and join the fight for our world. WWF's work to tackle climate change takes place all round the world, but the UK is a particularly important player because of our world-leading climate legislation. As WWF Cymru our challenge to the next Welsh Government is to respond to the opportunities that lay ahead by pledging to do the following: 1.Deliver a green and just economy by putting nature at the heart of every decision and creating a national jobs programme which is fit for the future.  2. Reform the food system so it delivers for nature and people by embedding nature and climate friendly farming practices and protecting nature abroad by making us the first deforestation free nation. 3. Put nature on the path to recovery by protecting our rivers, seas and land for current and future generations by dedicating 1% of all departmental budgets to restoring nature and combating climate change. Only by working together will we achieve lasting change and global impact.”
