Penarth Quaker Meeting
Penarth Quaker Meeting is a branch of South Wales Quakers.
“The produce of the Earth is a gift from our gracious creator to the inhabitants, and to impoverish the world now to enhance outward greatness appears to be an injury to a succeeding age.” has been a tenet of Quaker beliefs from at least 1772.
Quakers believe that climate change is not just a technical problem to be fixed, but a symbol of a greater challenge which we, along with many others, are facing: how to live sustainably and justly on this earth.
“Penarth Quaker Meeting regards our becoming a partner organisation to Climate Cymru as being in line with, and pursuant to, our testimonies and the Quaker Low Carbon Community commitment. ”
