John Muir Trust
“We protect. We connect. We restore.”
The John Muir Trust is a community focused conservation charity dedicated to the experience, protection and repair of wild places across the UK.
Founded in 1983, they care for some of the finest wild places in the UK, including Ben Nevis, Helvellyn and Sandwood Bay. Over 25,000 members, supporters and partners contribute to their work.
“We view wild places as essential to addressing the climate and biodiversity emergencies. Protecting them helps to protect the healthy functioning of ecosystems and the land’s ability to store carbon naturally. Governments should be introducing policies that will lead to land being managed for nature’s recovery and as a natural store of carbon.”
