GMB – Britain’s General Union

The GMB is Britain's third largest Trade Union, formed in 1889, it is a General Union with over 600,000 members across all sectors of industry, and covering all grades of workers.

They were formed by Will Thorne, their first General Secretary who said "There is a world of freedom, beauty and equality to gain, where everyone will have an opportunity to express the best that is in them for the benefit of all”. This remains the guiding principle of the GMB to this day.

They are extremely pleased to become a Partner organisation working together with Climate Cymru and other like-minded organisations.
