DEG is an award-winning social enterprise supporting community-led action across northwest Wales. They aim to increase their area’s ability to cope with the rising cost of fossil fuels and improve our natural environment whilst supporting communities transition to zero carbon.

“Climate change affects every one of us, so every one of us should feel empowered to make our voices heard in matters relating to the environment. DEG strongly believes that there is real power in involving local people in local developments, and this belief will be the driving force behind our new project GwyrddNi – a partnership between DEG and five community organisations in Gwynedd that are committed to tackling climate change. Our vision is that GwyrddNi will be an innovative scheme which proves that if we’re to tackle climate change on a global scale, the best place to start is locally, within our communities”
