Job Opportunity – Head of Politics and Advocacy

The Head of Politics & Advocacy will be the key link between Climate Cymru’s movement and the political landscape in Wales, ensuring that grassroots voices have the opportunity to influence decision-making at all levels. The role will lead Climate Cymru’s 2026 Senedd election strategy, driving manifesto work and securing ambitious climate commitments from political parties.
Additionally, the role involves organising political events, roundtables, and strategic engagements, including high-profile discussions at the Senedd and stakeholder meetings on the 2035 Challenge Group reports. Through these activities, the Head of Politics & Advocacy will play a crucial role in positioning Climate Cymru as a trusted and influential voice in Welsh climate policy.
Location: Remote working (with the option for office or hybrid work at WCIA, Temple of Peace, Cardiff) NB Attending events, meetings and activities in Cardiff will be a regular part of the role.
Contract: Part-time (22.2 hrs/week), 1-year fixed-term contract. Additional hours/ contract extension are subject to funding.
Salary: £40,108 pro rata + pension.
