Why do you care about the climate?

I have children, I want them to have a future and a healthy planet for them, their children AND their children to live on! It’s that simple.

What action do you want to see from our leaders?

Somewhat simplistically, I want them to stop prioritising the financial demands of big business over the global crisis that we’re all facing. If companies were held to account for the scale of emissions, by-product waste and single use plastic they produce, directly against their bottom line and without any opportunity to insure their way out of the situation?, we’d be in a very different place right now. Learn from the new upcoming businesses and B-Corps making very real changes to the economy, even by putting people and the planet ahead of profit! It can be done!

What gives you hope for the future?

My children! They are already activists and our future leaders, and their generation are already holding the present incumbent leadership to account. This is on an upward spiral and thank goodness as the existing status quo has failed to turn the situation around thus far!
