View all ambassadorsIn your view, what do our leaders here in Wales, the UK and around the world need to do to solve climate change?
I think that our leaders really need to start taking definitive action, by passing bills and putting in place clear measures to reduce our ecological footprint, because the more time that is wasted in delaying actions and ignoring the problem of climate change, the more likely it is for the world to become unable to recover.
Why have you become a Climate Cymru ambassador?
I have become a Climate Cymru ambassador as I think it’s a really great way to be able to contribute to the battle against climate change, and the significance of the issue makes it more relevant than ever to start taking action and making a change.
As a nation, what do you feel we need to do to truly influence change?
I feel that we need to start working together, within the nation and outside it as well to present a global, united front against climate change. Internal conflicts will only seek to jeopardize this, and as climate change is indeed, a global crisis, only by cooperating and working together can we really change the world’s approach to the issue, and spread the message about how important it is that we take action now.
What makes you optimistic for the future with regards to climate change?
Most recently, what makes me optimistic is how we saw countries work together under a common cause during the pandemic. The way people helped each other really creates hope for the future, as we know now that it is possible for the world to unite, and therefore possible to beat climate change, and help our planet recover.
